Forge Details Page

The forge details page allows you to edit the contents of a report. A report can consist of multiple components. The following report types are currently avaible:

Data Explorer Tree Component

This component allows users to create a structure similar to a file directory on a computer. Queries can organized and ultimately viewed in a manner similar to the browse section.

Master Header

The Master Header table contains the information that will be displayed in the header of the Data Explorer Tree. Nothing is displayed in the header by default. The following fields can be updated to display information in the header.

  • Title - The title of the Data Explorer tree

  • Description - Information describing what's contained within the Data Explorer tree

  • Image - Image to be displayed in this Data Explorer tree

Tree Structure Table

The tree structure table displays a hierarchical view of the report's directory structure. The table contains the following columns.

  • Name - The identifying field of the report's branch.

  • Type - The type of branch the row corresponds two. This can be either a folder or a Expandable List query

Adding a Top Level Folder

A folder can be added at the topmost level of a Data Explorer Tree by clicking the "Actions" menu located in the top right corner of the Component editor. Now click the "Add a Top Level Folder" option. This will display the "Add Folder" panel. Name the new folder and click the "Save" button to add it to the report.".

Adding a Top Level Query

A query can be added to the top level of a Data Explorer Tree by clicking the "Actions" select menu located in the top right corner of the Component editor. Now click the "Add a Top Level Query" option. This will display the "Add Query" panel. The panel consists of the following fields.

  • Title - The title displayed when the query is displayed as a row in the Data Explorer tree.

  • Show Me - Selects which type of measurement to display.

  • Values - Select which values along with which functions you want applied to them. More values can be added by clicking the '+' button and removed by clicking the 'X' button to the right of the value.

  • Whose Meta Data Matches the Following - Allows you to select filter the results based on the values of the measurement's meta fie lds. Filters can be added/removed in the same fashion as the values.

  • Sorted By - Selects which fields the results should be sorted by and in what order. "Sorted By" parameters can be added and removed in the same fashion as values.

  • Display Chart As - Select whether you want the charts displayed as Indivual Measurements or Aggregated Measurements. If you are looking at a classifier measurement this will either show a graph for each individual measurement or a single graph containing the sum of all the individual measurements.

Changing Header at Any Depth in the Tree Structure

By default, when navigating the tree structure in the Portals section the header will default to the values set in the "Master Header" table. These can be overwritten to show different values at any level. To do this click the icon to the right of the level's header you wish to modify. Click "Edit Header". This will display the same table as seen in the "Master Header" section. Now the values can be changed as desired.

Adding a Query below a Folder at any Depth

Queries can be added below folders at any depth. This can be accomplished by clicking the icon on the right side of the folder's row you wish to add a query below. The Query Panel described in "Adding a Top Level Query" section above will be displayed. Click "Save" to add the query below the folder.

Adding a Folder above or below any Depth

Folders can be added above or below any depth by clicking the icon to the right of the row you wish to add a folder above or below. Then click the "Add Folder" option. A panel will be displayed prompting you for the name of the folder as well as whether you want it to be added above or below the currrent row.

Editing a Branch

A branch can be edited by clicking the icon to the right of its corresponding row and then clicking the "Edit" option. This will display a panel allowing you to edit the branches fields.

Deleting a Branch

A branch can be deleted by clicking the icon to the right of its corresponding row and then clicking the "Delete" option.

Drag and Drop Reordering

A branch can be moved below any other folder type branch by clicking it and dragging it on top of the folder.
